Kootenay Dance Academy, formerly known as Kimberley Dance Academy, has provided qualified dance instruction in the East Kootenays since 1991. Moving into our 34th season, we look forward to offering all students another fun and rewarding year. Classes run Sept-May with a year end production held at the Key City Theatre in Cranbrook, BC.

WHAT WE OFFER
Live, Love, Dance... your way through life!
Kootenay Dance Academy offers a wide assortment of classes including tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, street jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, stretch and conditioning and acrobatics. Classes are available to all students ages 3 years to adult.
Recreational and Competitive programs available
Kootenay Dance Academy offers both recreational and competitive programs. We are proud to have been the first to establish an East Kootenays Elite Competitive Dance Team. Students from both Kimberley and Cranbrook locations now have the opportunity to come together and audition for several competitive teams. Competitive teams are for the more dedicated and serious dancer who wish to take their dance experience to the next level. For more information please contact the studio office.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Dance not only gives children the obvious physical benefits of co-ordination, poise and posture, it teaches them discipline, self-esteem and confidence. It encourages them to set goals and to persevere to accomplish those goals. Children learn how to work together with others and develop leadership qualities.

Our goal at K.D.A. first and foremost, is to ...INSPIRE... all those who pass through our doors. To provide the necessary tools to ensure a safe and secure environment where children are able to gain the self-confidence to express themselves freely and without judgement. And most of all, we hope to provide a place where students can develop and nurture ... PASSION, DRIVE, AND COMMITMENT. All very important things that carry forward into all other aspects of their lives.
